Ren Wicks Bio

Ren Wicks grew up in his father's commercial art studio in downtown Los Angeles, where he was taught to draw and paint almost before he could walk. His teachers were some of the most accomplished artists, illustrators, graphic designers and framing companies on the West Coast.

After attending Otis Art Institute, and while still in high school at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, and San Jose State University, Ren began his career in advertising as an agency art director. He worked with the top artists, designers, and film directors in Los Angeles and New York for almost 30 years, creating and directing many memorable and award winning advertising campaigns.

Ren joined VisionArt in 2002, bringing with him his life-long passion for art and photography. For the past six years, his efforts have been instrumental in bringing together VisionArt's exclusive collection of over 300 works of art. He has designed the exclusive profiles for VisionArt's Ren Wicks Collection of hand made closed corner frames, and the latest pre-finished moldings from leading manufacturers.

Ren works directly with interior designers, architects, AV installation companies, and Visionart customers to help them select artwork and frames. His hands-on involvement includes the supervision and printing of VisionArt Giclee fine-art prints, commissioning and production of original artwork, and the reproduction of customer's existing art and photographic images.
