Ren Wicks

Ren Wicks studied at the Art Center School of Design in Los Angeles and embarked on a career as a commercial illustrator. At the outbreak of World War II he joined Lockheed Aircraft as the company's publications art director. After the war, Ren became one of the most versatile illustrators on the West Coast. His commissions came from an impressive list of corporations. He was the founding partner of Group West, one of the most successful commercial art studios in Los Angeles. Ren loved the beach, and spent his leisure time painting seascapes in Laguna Beach, California.
