Roman Ohnemus

Roman Ohnemus traveled extensively throughout the world, living ten years in foreign lands. His background gives him a profound appreciation of the beauty and charm of the world around us, which is so vividly reflected in his unique style of bright, colorful, nostalgic watercolors of rural landscapes and harbor scenes of Southern California.

Roman has been a pilot, teacher, meteorologist, and artist. He attended Occidental College, University of St. Louis, and graduate school at Florida State University. After a career in the Air Force, retiring in 1969, Roman studied for several years at the Laguna Beach School of Art, qualifying for a degree in Fine Art. His paintings have frequently been exhibited in Southern California, winning numerous awards, and are found in private collections throughout the United States and Canada.
