"The Silk Road was an ancient caravan route for trading from East to West. Chinese cities such as Beijing, Buoying, and Xian were ultimately connected to the western capital of Rome by various oasis cities in Mesopotamia, one of which being Yunnan."

Farzaneh was born in Iran, and showed her talent and great interest in art at an early age on. After graduating with honors from Stephens College of Art in Columbia, Mo., she relocated to the West Coast. While mastering the classic application method of Chinese painting, she has learned to create the exquisite blend of the Yunnan art form with the aesthetics of modern art, thus blossoming into her current signature style. She was inspired to create something new and exciting by blending the traditional Yunnan style paintings into several modern art forms, ultimately giving birth to her unique compositions.

Weaving the divine, exquisite beauty of traditional Chinese art into the West (such as art forms from India, Persia, and Rome), she has applied the vivid colors of subtropical Yunnan with refined sensuality of modern art to successfully create her Yunnan style paintings.

Painting for Farzaneh is a tool used to seek and define the higher self.
