Victor Del Castillo's Bio

Victor Del Castillo was born in Lima, Peru, in 1968. At the age of 3, he traveled with his family to El Callejon de Huaylas, picked up a brush, and began to paint pictures of the colorful landscape. His parents, who were more than impressed, convinced themselves that he was going to be the next da Vinci.

At age 17, Del Castillo enrolled at the Esculsa Nacional de Bellas Artes in Lima where he experimented with Impressionism, Fauvism, Abstractionism, and Informationalism. Realism became the genre of choice, and he graduated with a passion for painting still life which he gives a special sense and sentiment by which the trivial elements come alive. It is as if every piece of fruit he paints represents a state of the human soul.

Victor has participated in a long list of exhibitions and is being collected serious and well-known art collectors.
