Recessed Back Box

VisionArt offers an optional metal back box that includes the VA-ICS (Integrated Cooling System). The VA-ICS has four slow speed, low turbulence fans that move 15 cubic feet of air per minute. The system includes a temperature sensor that will automatically turn the fans on at 90 degrees Fahrenheit. The VA-ICS requires that the VisionArt frame stand off the wall by at least ½” and uses this space to circulate air through the cavity. The VA-ICS includes a power supply, temperature sensor, ducting, and housing for the fans. The fans are preinstalled in the back box.

Designing the Cavity

The Back Box will be designed by adding 7 inches to the outside height and width of the plasma for the inside dimension of the recess. The depth of the recess is determined by adding the depth of the display plus the depth of any mounting brackets. The Back Box is 16 gauge metal and is NOT structurally capable of supporting a display device.

VA-ICS Integrated Cooling System

The VA-ICS may be purchased as a stand alone product and can be installed in the cavity without the metal Back Box. The VA-ICS requires that the VisionArt frame stand off the wall by at least ½” and uses this space to circulate air through the cavity. The VA-ICS includes a power supply, temperature sensor, ducting, housing for the fans, and the fans. The VA-ICS assembly is ready for installation and only requires 4 screws.
